Ahoi, Bok Choy Salad!

Hello dear readers,

it is about 31°C here in Bangkok and feels like hot European summer’s day. European? Err, not really, if you take a look on the beautiful plants and veggies offered here, at the local stores. I cannot properly express my overwhelming feeling towards the star vegetable of the day: BOK CHOY or also written PAK CHOI. It is a dark green leaf with a crunchy white stem. A perfect ingredient for a fresh crispy cool summer salad! Here you go, with a bunch of new items from some Thai marktets nearby:

  • 4 little red tomatoes
  • 1/2 small cucumber
  • a hand full of green olives
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4 unbelievable green bok choy babies & fresh dill

for dressing:

  • vinegar, soy sauce, olive & sesame oil, mustard, garlic, black and white sesame seeds

for seasoning:

  • a teaspoon of black roasted basil seeds
  • freshly grounded black pepper
